The City of Winooski is excited to announce three new funding programs in partnership with Opportunities Credit Union to support affordable housing in Winooski! Made possible by the Housing Trust Fund, these programs encourage, create, and retain affordable housing options for low and moderate-income households through grants and loans to first-time homebuyers, organizations, developers, owner-occupants, or projects that create, preserve, repair, or replace long-term affordable housing units. Professional real estate developers, both for-profit and non-profit, and public housing agencies are eligible for this program when constructing or substantially rehabilitating housing for low-income persons, including homeownership or rental properties.
